Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to fame after releasing her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. At the age of 15 the album was awarded Gold standing. The group was strongly influenced by R. Kelly, and made her a star in the spotlight. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the top-selling single If Your girl only had known. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B singer after the album's release. She was a part of the action and romance film Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. Her role came about when she was spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002 she had the opportunity to be part of the horror film Queen of the Damned which was inspired by Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her first appearance in The Matrix Sequels. She had also appeared in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). The singer has received four Grammy nominations in 1999 and 2001. 2002, 2003. Aarti Mann is of Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation used for her first name in marriage, Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) In addition, she was a part of several commercials that included Volvo and other major automobile brands. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actress.
